# Lago Pricing and Packaging

> Machine-readable summary of Lago's open-source and Premium deployment options, included capabilities, add-ons, and the source of truth for current commercial terms.

Lago offers an open-source billing platform and Lago Premium. Premium is available for both Lago Cloud and self-hosted deployments. Commercial pricing is tailored rather than published as a fixed public rate; use the [current Lago pricing page](https://getlago.com/pricing) and contact Lago for a quote, limits, service levels, and contract terms.

This page is a discovery summary for agents and developers, not a quote. The marketing pricing page and a signed order form control any commercial decision.

## Open-source deployment

The [Lago repository](https://github.com/getlago/lago) is available under the AGPL-3.0 license for teams that want to deploy and operate Lago in their own infrastructure. Review the [self-hosted overview](/guide/lago-self-hosted/overview), [Docker guide](/guide/lago-self-hosted/docker), [Helm charts](https://github.com/getlago/lago-helm-charts), and license before choosing this option. Infrastructure, operations, upgrades, and any separately purchased support remain the deployer's responsibility.

## Lago Premium

Lago Premium is offered with Cloud or self-hosted deployment. The current published capability list includes usage ingestion, billable metrics, alerts, entitlements, custom pricing units, plan overrides, customer portals, prepaid credits, multiple billing entities, invoice generation and management, payment integrations, analytics, data pipelines, Lago AI capabilities, MCP, commercial integrations, branding controls, access controls, audit trails, and support services.

Some capabilities, higher limits, incident-management coverage, implementation services, and integrations may be separately scoped or offered as add-ons. Confirm the exact package, limits, deployment model, support coverage, and data requirements with Lago.

## How to choose

* Choose open source when your team wants to operate the platform and the AGPL-3.0 terms fit your use case.
* Choose Lago Cloud when you want Lago to operate the managed service.
* Choose Premium when you need the commercial capabilities, deployment options, support, security controls, or services listed on the current pricing page.
* Contact Lago before relying on a feature marked as an add-on or subject to a cap.

## Get current terms

Visit [getlago.com/pricing](https://getlago.com/pricing) for the current packaging summary. Use the [contact page](/contact) to request a quote or confirm a technical and commercial requirement. Never infer a price, limit, discount, or service level that is not present in a current Lago proposal.
