Limitations
What Quotes & Order Forms does not do. Read this before building a workflow around the feature.
Know these boundaries before building your sales process on the feature. None are final: we iterate based on customer feedback. If one blocks your workflow, tell us.
Premium feature. Requires a premium license with quotes enabled. Contact us to get access.
Approval is internal. Quotes are approved inside Lago, by your own team. No customer-facing approval step.
Lago does not handle signatures. Order forms are signed outside Lago (DocuSign, Concord, email), then marked as signed in Lago. The signed file upload is for record-keeping only.
Lago does not send emails. You download the PDF and send it yourself. No public link.
One currency per quote. Every block uses the quote’s currency. You cannot mix currencies in one quote.
Amounts are tax-exclusive. Taxes are calculated later, at invoicing.
No native CRM sync. No built-in Salesforce or HubSpot integration for quotes.
No backdated invoicing. A past start date creates the subscription at that date, but past periods are not invoiced.
Overrides follow subscription rules. You can only override what is already overridable when assigning a plan.
One pricing block per quote. One plan, or one set of add-ons for one-off quotes. An amendment covers one plan on one subscription.
Discounts and credits are for subscription quotes. One-off quotes cannot include coupons or prepaid credits. At most 5 credit blocks per quote.
